We are a National Non-profit organization focused on delivering a message of Love and Hope
to our community. We are a group of fire fighters, police officers, local
government officials and volunteers that support women and their families
battling all types of cancers. We support all types of cancer relief
efforts and focus on women as a whole in whatever type of cancer they battle. As
men it is in our nature to care for the women in our lives, this is just another
way to show love and support. Our women are the most important people in our
lives, whether they are our mothers, wives, daughters or sisters. We selflessly
put our women first in the battle against cancer; at the very least we wear her
color to let her know we CARE! We bring Love & Hope to our community and
around the country in the form of Pink Fire Trucks.
Our
trucks are adorned with signatures and stories of those who have fought and
survived as well as those who lost the fight. These signatures serve as a
testament to the ideal that they are not alone.
WE NEVER CHARGE ANYONE TO SIGN OUR TRUCKS!
We consider it an honor to carry the story and we then serve as guardians to this
rolling monument.
MARGARET has arrived!!!
We are proud to announce the arrival of our chapters truck.
MARGARET is a 1977 American LaFrance Engine. She was bought brand new out of the show room for Portland Hook and Ladder Co#1. She was then transferred to East Bangor Fire Department where she remained in service until 2012.
We had to have this truck as our symbol. She started her career serving the citizens of the Slate Belt and now, she will continue to do so.
MARGARET is named for a strong women who lost her battle to Cancer in October 2010. A strong wife, a loving mother, and a cool Mother-in-Law, Margaret never let anyone know she was suffering. She was determined to carry on to the best of her abilities.
Our MARGARET shall do the same, she will carry on and deliver our message of Love, and Support.
